Planning your week
A practical guide to coming to us: when to arrive, which airport to fly into, where to stay, how payment works, and the small things that make the week land softly.
A simple timeline
01
Before you book
Pick the week that matches your level. Week 1 for beginners, Week 2 for intermediate. If you're unsure, email us and we'll help you choose.
02
After you book
We send a short Italian-level questionnaire so the teachers can tailor the classes, plus our curated list of trusted local stays in the historic center. Average B&B pricing runs about €50 to €70 per night.
03
4–6 weeks before
Book your flights into Palermo (PMO) for the easiest connection. Confirm your accommodation. We strongly recommend travel insurance.
04
1–2 weeks before
Share your flight details so we can place you on the Sunday group transfer. Pack light layers. Sicily in October is warm by day, cooler in the evenings on the hilltop.
05
Arrival Sunday
Land in Palermo, meet the group transfer, settle into your stay, and join us at Palazzo Monroy for the welcome dinner and a short entrance assessment.
Practical travel tips
Travel insurance is important
We strongly recommend you take out comprehensive travel insurance before your trip. It protects you against cancellation, medical issues, and delays, giving you peace of mind from the moment you book.
Bring layers for chilly nights
Salemi sits on a hilltop, so evenings in October can be cool even when the days are warm. Pack a light sweater or jacket for dinners outside and late walks through the historic center.
ATMs are available in town
If you need cash, there are ATMs in Salemi. Cards are widely accepted, but it is worth having some euros on hand for small shops, market stalls, and cafés.
